G-PACT relies heavily on services we receive voluntarily.  Currently, volunteers are needed in the following areas.  (Positions in italics are filled at this time). 

Board of Directors – requires attending at least four meetings per year via telephone.  Each meeting lasts 2-3 hours.  Will participate in the management of G-PACT, finances and decision- making.

Financial Officer – requires financial and/or legal background.  Assists the President with state and federal paperwork, grant applications, banking. This position sits on the Board.

Writer – participates in writing the monthly newsletter, website verbiage, business letters.  Requires excellent grammar and writing skills.

Patient Support Network – provides support for patients via telephone or email.  Responds to telephone and email inquiries.

Physician Networking – establishes and maintains contact with physicians and other health care professionals working with gastroparesis patients. 

Public Relations Director – Manages public relations and media activities.  Develops educational and promotional materials.  This position sits on the Board.

Public Relations Assistant – Assists Public Relations Director with public relations and media activities.

Fund Raising Director –coordinates fundraising activities and maintains ebay charitable donations.  Develops additional fund raising activities. This position sits on the Board.

Fund Raising Assistants – works with Fundraising Director to obtain donated items for charity auction on ebay.  Assists with developing ebay listings and providing pictures and item descriptions.

Grant Writers- Researches and submits grant applications.

Web/Graphic Designer – Assists President with website maintenance, creating new designs for G-PACT products.  Requires experience designing web sites, brochures, flyers, promotional products. Adobe CS5 (or earlier versions) experience. *Graphic designer needed. Web designer filled.

Spotlight Patient Coordinator – Identifies patients for use as Spotlight Patient.  Obtains photo and bio for monthly publication on the website and in the newsletter.

General Writers- Writers to assist with G-PACT publications and information for inclusion on the website, e-mails and letters to medical professionals, media, and Facebook promotions (notes). This person can also work as our grant writer.

General Volunteer – works on special projects and/or activities based on needs and skills.
