Tim, Benjamin, and Telitha

Telitha McAdams was born on December 31, 1982.  She attended Fairfield High School where she graduated with honors and continued her education to Cumberland University in Kentucky where she earned her degree in Business Management.

She was living and taking care of her grandmother, Claris, when she applied for her first management position with a local hospitality concept in West Chester, Ohio in 2006.  That was when she met General Manager, Benjamin Rhodes, who hired her based on her incredible skills.  Telitha proved herself as a promising Manager while still taking the time to care for her grandmother and her hobby of quilt making, which she did with her grandmother often.

In July 2007, Telitha began to have gastro pain that became intolerable.  After an operation to remove her Gall Bladder, which is what doctors thought was the problem, she later was diagnosed with gastroparesis and stomach paralyzation.

Telitha went to several specialists in Columbus and eventually received a gastric electrical stimulator to aide in her recovery.  During this time, Telitha and Benjamin had become inseparable friends and based on her condition, Benjamin asked Telitha to come and live with him and his partner, Tim, so they could care for her fully.  During the next few months, Telitha’s stimulator was adjusted time and time again but did not help her condition.  The months that followed led Telitha to TPN feeding.  Eventually, the TPN affected Telitha’s organs and she developed sepsis.  Telitha passed away March 27th 2009 from septic shock. She was at home with Benjamin when she passed.
