The research and development department of G-PACT is composed of medical professionals, medical students, G-PACT staff, and/or volunteers interested in researching this condition. G-PACT is working towards assisting medical professionals and researchers in order to compile information and present findings to the public. We are informed of current Gastroparesis research studies, and work to locate patients who qualify for studies conducted by the FDA or other private industries. We will also be providing grants to such agencies to assist them in finding more adequate treatments and/or a cure. The G-PACT research department is committed to keeping direct lines of communication with researchers and doctors open. At times, volunteers in this department may gather information from a database of patients in an effort to provide a new angle or perspective which may lead to better treatment options. G-PACT hopes to provide researchers with more insight into this condition and the needs of patients. By providing this insight, we hope to enhance the research being conducted and/or provide a new perspective leading to new research studies.
