New Drug approved in UK:

Prucalopride

The motility agent, Prucalopride (similar to Cisapride/Propulsid) was approved for use in the UK. Trials have shown little to no indication of cardiac side effects in conjunction with Prucalopride, the main reason other drugs have been pulled from the market in the US and other countries.

G-PACT has contacted the drug company about the possibility and timeframe of pursuing approval in the US. Our FDA patient advocates will also be working closely with the FDA in order to aid in the process of getting this medication approved.
