Friendship Without A Face

I may have never seen your face
Yet within my heart you have a place
You help me laugh
You let me cry
You encourage me to always try

Before we met I was all alone
Now you call me on the phone
You never judge me
You are always around
You never hammer me into the ground

You listen to every need I share
The anger I have when people stare
Through all your pain
And all your tears
You always find time to calm my fears

Your life may not be going as planned
You may feel worthless with normal life banned
Yet you love me for who I am
And care about me as a whole
You have impacted me more that you will ever know

Your importance in life cannot be overlooked
Within my soul you will always be hooked
You encourage me to fight
And help me cope
And renew my determination to tackle this slope

Without any word written or heard
And the fading illusion of ever being cured
You know my needs
You share my heart
And for that reason we will never part

This poem is dedicated to all of my online Gastroparesis buddies who have been there for me through thick and thin.
