In order to be included on a page in this site you must meet the
following qualifications:
1. You must have GP, be a loved one sending information on behalf of
someone with GP, or be someone who has recovered from GP. Stories about
people who do not have GP personally are not acceptable. This is only
available to those who actually suffer from it.
2. You should not include any offensive
language or pictures in your submitted information. Information
containing such language will not be included on the site.
3. You will be asked to sign a waiver
allowing G-PACT to post your information on the site. If after signing
the waiver you decide to be removed from the site, G-PACT will typically
remove your information within three business days.
4. G-PACT must know that your
participation in this program will reflect the good taste and nature of
this organization. Although you may not be a volunteer in G-PACT, we
need to make sure that you and your story will fit within the nature of
this organization and will adequately represent what we do. For that
reason, G-PACT reserves the right to deny or modify your information for
inclusion on our site if there is solid reason to believe that the
information goes against our nature and purposes. You will usually be
notified before we officially deny or modify the information so that we
can work with you to correct it if appropriate and necessary.
5. You are asked to submit the following
information:
a. Recent picture of yourself (preferably close up
shot). The picture can be snail mailed to G-PACT at G-PACT, P.O. Box
197, Lewisberry, PA 17339-0197 or sent via digital image to
spiderweb@g-pact.org.
You may also send more than one if you would like to include two
pictures, or if you would like to provide G-PACT with options. Please
send all pictures at a resolution of 72 dpi. We will notify you if the
picture(s) you sent will not work and request a new one.
b. Fairly brief GP bio including major points, or
points that will be most interesting to the population browsing our site
c. Include personal, fun or interesting facts about
yourself that do not relate to GP in any way. Examples include hobbies,
nicknames, embarrassing moments, family background, education and/or
work experience, date of birth (to target people looking for someone in
their age range), hometown, etc. You may also send in additional
information as well if desired
d. E-mail address if you would like to be contacted
by people with GP who browse the G-PACT site and have an interest in
your story
You may benefit from reading the information that others have sent for
inclusion on our site to have a better idea of what information you
should send and what your page will resemble when completed. Please feel
free to contact us with questions about this portion of our site and we
will be glad to assist you! The webmaster may be reached at
spiderweb@g-pact.org
or 1-888-820-0729 x 81.
I'm ready to meet others battling this! Let's
