G-PACT provides many services to GP patients in order to learn more about their condition, find valuable resources in one location, and help their doctors save time by coming to us for general and/or basic issues that we can help them address. All of our services are free of charge.

1. When a patient is approved by a physician for a medical procedure, but the patient's insurance company denies the claim, G-PACT provides assistance appealing the decision through letter writing, phone calls, contacts, and any other means available to prove the necessity of a particular treatment, and to speed up the approval process.

2. G-PACT provides many ways to meet and/or read about others with gastroparesis through our website. These include:

3. We provide ways for people with GP to cope and share feelings through art and the creative mind

4. Someone in G-PACT is almost always available to answer basic questions about gastroparesis. This will not only give GPers quick answers to general questions, but will save time for doctors to return phone calls. We will not give out any personalized medical information. If you have a question specifically related to your condition, G-PACT cannot answer questions of that nature.

5. G-PACT has access to the largest online support group for gastroparesis as well, and many of the volunteers in G-PACT also volunteer as moderators in the support group. This experience  with 2000+ people with gastroparesis has greatly enhanced what we do because we recognize the needs of a diverse population throughout the world.

6. The vast majority of G-PACT personnel are battling gastroparesis or have a loved one who is affected. That experience is what makes us so strong. We are able to relate to the needs of others battling this, so therefore our interactions with our clients is of a personal and caring nature. It also helps us bridge the gap between doctors and researchers, and we are able to understand the needs of patients, and present these needs to medical professionals with true passion, love, and enthusiasm.

7. G-PACT recognizes the needs of friends and family of those affected by gastroparesis. We provide the same services to friends and family as we do the patients themselves in order to ensure that the patient has the best and most recent information, and so that their loved ones will be able to learn more about the condition. It is important for loved ones to gain a greater understanding of the needs of someone with GP.

8. We provide a network of motility doctors throughout the US who treat gastroparesis so that patients can find a doctor in the US who they feel could help them better manage their conditions. This information is available on our website, as well as in written form via fax, e-mail, or US mail. G-PACT may assist you in setting up the necessary appointments and gathering the information you need if possible.

9. In the future, G-PACT will provide financial assistance to patients in need of better care but cannot afford it.

10. G-PACT is not limited to only these services. If you have gastroparesis and are in need of assistance in another manner not described above, please contact us to discuss your thoughts and we will determine if we are able to assist in that manner or not.
