Nickname: Nick (Nini when he was younger) DOB: 1-31-00 Parents: Matt and Veronica Pennington Siblings: Older brother- Aaron Hometown: Bellefontaine, OH Fun Facts: Enjoys his pet cat, Simba, and is very protective of him His nickname "Nini" is the result of his brother, Aaron, not being able to pronounce Nicholas GP Story: Being born premature, he has been sick since birth. He had a Gastrojejunal feeding tube (a.k.a. GJ tube) placed when he was just 5 months old. He developed Gastroparesis from complications of surgery he had to correct his severe acid reflex disease around his first birthday. Since then we have dealt with many complications from the disease, numerous tests, procedures and surgeries and of course countless hospital stays. Despite this disease, he is a
bright and cheerful little boy, who has so much to give to this world. No
matter how bad he feels, he always has a smile for you. He is an inspiration, and one of the reasons
his Mom helped create G-PACT. |
