G-PACT works hard to develop and maintain relationships with medical professionals so that we can effectively work together to fight this debilitating condition. Because the vast majority of G-PACT personnel battle GP personally or have a loved one with it, we are able to provide unique insight into the needs of patients which can aid doctors in their search for better treatments options and/or a cure. We provide many services to physicians and researchers free of charge.

1. G-PACT aids patients in getting approved for medical procedures when they have been approved by physicians, but denied by insurance companies. We have successfully gained approval for procedures very quickly as a result of our intervention and experience guiding people. In addition, we are able to assist patients with basic questions about gastroparesis, resources available, and provide them with quick answers to their questions. By providing this service to patients, we reduce the workload of the medical staff substantially.

2. G-PACT will soon provide a portion of our website dedicated to medical professionals. This site will contain valuable information such as articles, research papers, etc in order to educate knowledge and ability of other physicians so they are able to discover effective or new ways to treat their patients.

3. We provide a network of motility doctors on our website. This network includes information about medical professionals who treat gastroparesis nationwide. We include information such as contact info, specialties, locations, articles published (if applicable), website (if applicable), unique treatment options (i.e. stimulator, domperidone, etc), research interests, and other valuable information that will aid patients in selecting the best doctor for them. This will increase publicity, keep patients updated on studies and who is doing them, etc.

4. Physicians in our network can choose to be consultants for G-PACT personnel so that we can ensure that the info we have is as current and accurate as possible, to advise on ways we can work together, and G-PACT will send them all updated information on G-PACT on a regular basis

5. G-PACT is in contact with hundreds of GP patients and their loved ones every day. These connections provide us with valuable information about the needs of patients of a diverse population throughout the world. This gives G-PACT a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between patients and medical professionals by expressing the needs of people dealing with gastroparesis on a daily basis.

6. G-PACT provides educational resources to physicians who request it. Our brochures, flyers, and information packets are professionally designed and printed with valuable information for anyone who has been diagnosed. They also include information about G-PACT and how patients can get in contact with us for information and support. G-PACT will also work with physicians on a regular to ensure that all of our educational information is up to date and accurate.

7. In the future, we intend to assist patients financially to help them see a doctor who specializes this condition. This service will assist doctors who are not as qualified to treat gastroparesis. Physicians can recommend that patients see a doctor who specializes in this, and G-PACT can help make arrangements with financial assistance (if possible, not implemented at this time) and setting up appointments with doctors in our network to save time.

8. G-PACT connects researchers and patients together to enhance research studies. G-PACT lists research information on our website and provides contact info. We will include research info such as type of study, dates, qualifications, disqualifications, research centers involved, risks and benefits, phase of study, etc. Patients then contact researchers if they are interested in a particular GP study, and then the researchers and patients can work together directly to work through all details.

9. If you are a physician or researcher and have other ideas on how G-PACT can work with you, please contact us with your ideas and we will discuss them. The above list is a guide for what we do, but can be expanded based on the numbers and types of requests we receive. Ultimately, we want to do whatever possible to help fight gastroparesis!
